BURGLARYThree Horseshoes, Commercial Road, Skelmanthorpe. Intruders got into former pub – being renovated – by unknown means and stole lead tiles. Golden Cock Inn, The Village, Farnley Tyas, Nov 24. Sneak thief got into pub through unlocked back kitchen door and made his way through pub upstairs to living quarters. Intruder escaped through an upper window on to a flat roof. Highburton, Nov 19. Sneak thief got in through unlocked front door and picked up car keys from kitchen. Alarm on door disturbed victim who saw two suspects standing by his car and gave chase. Suspects ran off and threw car keys back at victim before escaping on foot. Suspects: two white males, 15 to 22 yrs, 5ft 10ins, medium build, short brown hair. Castle Hill, Almondbury, Nov 29. Intruder got into home by jemmying kitchen window with screwdriver. He reached in to open second window and climb in. Handbag containing car keys stolen and thief made off through front door stealing property and then victim’s car which was later found abandoned Moldgreen, Nov 25. Europrofile lock snapped on rear UPVC door to get in and steal car keys on key hooks in lounge. Thieves then made off in victim’s vehicle and tried to take second vehicle which was parked on the roadside outside house. Electrical goods, jewellery and keys stolen. Waterloo, Nov 28 Suspect unscrewed outer door handle casing then smash window with it. He then reached in, released bolt and unlocked door with key left in lock. Not yet known if property was stolen. Sun Inn, Barnsley Road, Flockton, Nov 23. Suspect climbed on to extension and pulled open unlocked sash window, but was heard by witness who shouted at him. Suspect then made off. Shepley, Nov 23. Attempt made to get into house by forcing rear door. Kirkburton CoE First School. Intruder got in through unlocked front door and went into reception classroom and stole laptop computer and CD player. He escaped through a locked back door which he forced open. Read
