About Honley

Honley is a large village that neighbours Holmfirth, located on the banks of the River Holme in the Holme Valley. With a population of 5,897 (according to the 2001 Census), Honley is famous for the annual Honley Agricultural Show (often shortened to Honley Show), which takes place on the second Saturday in June. Hints to Honley's history still remain, with the ruins of the village stocks able to be found in the grounds of the village's Parish church.
