About Lowerhouses

Lowerhouses is a large housing estate near the town centre of Huddersfield. The district is situated between those of Newsome and Almondbury. There have been disputes over plans to combine the district with that of Almondbury, therefore becoming "Lower Almondbury". A residential oriented district, Lowerhouses has multiple estates situated throughout. There was once a local pub called "The Mason's Arms", however it has since been closed down and is currently still unused.
