Marsh

Marsh is around a mile from Huddersfield town centre via Trinity Street and Westbourne Road. At the 2001 census the population was recorded as 4,482. It is said that the area is so-called because it was wetland before it was reclaimed. Huddersfield actor James Mason, who starred in North by Northwest, Lolita and The Desert Fox: The Story of Rommel, was raised on Croft House Lane which runs through Marsh and neighbouring Edgerton.
