About Mirfield

Mirfield is a small town that sits between Brighouse and Dewsbury. In the 2001 Census, Mirfield was recorded as having a population of 18,621. Mirfield was also the birthplace of the actor Sir Patrick Stewart, as well as Richard Reed, the co-founder of Innocent Drinks. Mirfield also has an annual agricultural show called Mirfield Show held on the third Sunday in August and in May 2005, Mirfield became the first Fairtrade Town in Kirklees and only the fourth in West Yorkshire.
