About Rastrick

Rastrick is a village that neighbours Brighouse, with the two sharing a Huddersfield postcode and phone number, as well as both making a part of the Brighouse and Rastrick Brass Band. The name Rastrick is thought to be Viking in origin, with the "ick" being common to many Norwegian Viking placenames. Rastrick village has its own library and two Doctors' surgeries. Rastrick also neighbours Elland as well, with it being west of Rastrick and Brighouse being north.
