Ravensknowle Park

The Moldgreen park was originally the grounds of Ravensknowle Hall, now Tolson Museum. It was gifted to Huddersfield Corporation in 1919 as a memorial to the owner's nephews, lost in the First World War. Huddersfield's iconic Cloth Hall Shelter entrance, moved from the town centre in the 1930s, is the building in the grounds. On opening it had a paddling pool, bowling greens, tennis courts together with areas of ornamental bedding.
