Couple plan open garden event to help hospice

RETIRED couple Frank and Margaret Lodge are opening their garden gate to visitors – to raise hundreds of pounds for Kirkwood Hospice in Dalton.

The stunning garden at 15 Pontey Drive, Waterloo, will go on show between 10am and 4pm on Sunday July 6.

As well as viewing the manicured lawns, garden pond, ornaments and displays of blooms, visitors will be able to visit stalls selling cakes and plants, enjoy afternoon tea and take part in a tombola.

The couple last opened their garden to the public two years ago and raised £620 for the hospice.
