Playgroup’s party at new centre; picture and story

YOUNGSTERS met Mother Christmas and enjoyed festive food when Kiddie Cats playgroup held a Yuletide party at St Philip’s Community Centre in Birchencliffe.

More than 50 children and adults attended the event.

It also included an indoor blizzard created by a snow machine and fun and games provided by a children’s entertainer.

The party was organised by playgroup manager Helen Shaw and her team.

The playgroup meets at the new centre on Briar-lyn Road.

It replaces the parish hall, which was destroyed by arsonists last March.
