A FAMILY business providing drinks dispense equipment to bars and pubs has boosted its business by sheer innovation.

Brewfitt Ltd, based at Fenay Bridge, developed introducing CoolTube, a revolutionary new heat exchanger which employs technology to provide drinks at exactly the right temperature at the dispenser – the first of its kind in the world.

The company worked with Huddersfield University to study the thermo-fluid performance of CoolTube – leading to product improvements which in turn have led to increased sales.

Brewfitt prides itself on bringing innovative products to the market – reinforcing its reputation in the hospitality, brewing, soft drinks and leisure industries throughout the UK.

Neil Paxman, owner Glenn’s brother, said: “Thanks must go to my father who originally invented the Ice Bank beer coolers that were put into the Kremlin in 1963. We’d like to dedicate this award to him.’’ Managing director Curtis Paxman added: “Without the team we have within both Paxman Coolers and Brewfitt we wouldn’t be where we are today.’’

Also nominated in the category, sponsored by the University of Huddersfield, were Chem Resist Group and Westin Design.
