BUSINESSMAN Mark Knight is helping to put training on the agenda for major organisations across the country.

Mark is creative director at Holmfirth-based Juice Learning, which includes BMW, Unilever, Barclaycard, The Football League and the Premier League among its high-powered clients.

The entrepreneur is joined in the venture by co-directors Claire Awty, Morgan Wilson and Matt Cleve, who decided to set up the business following the demise of CragRats Ltd, where they were all senior managers.

Said Mark: “When CragRats went into administration in June, 2009, it seemed that the recession had delivered a knockout blow to one of the UK’s longest-established training organisations.”

But he said: “Since then, we’ve managed to buck the recession and grow at an astonishing rate by providing unique and pioneering training solutions to some of the UK’s best-known organisations as well as many progressive smaller companies keen to improve the way they work in challenging times.

“We’re also very proud of the fact that we have been able to provide work for previous colleagues who also lost their livelihoods last year.”

Mark has more than 10 years’ media industry experience across commercial production, advertising, television broadcast and post production.

In the past 12 months, his work has been nominated in the International Video and Communication Awards and the National Training Awards by clients including Scottish and Southern Energy, Barclaycard and Nottingham City Homes.

Away from work, he enjoys playing squash, cooking, reading and watching films.

Mark said Juice Learning had delivered a range of training to provide long-lasting business improvement to organisations facing the challenge of continuing to maintain high standards on an ever-decreasing budget.

He said: “Whether it’s ensuring that NHS staff continue to focus on delivering the highest standard of patient care or stewards working for Football League clubs receiving world class training, we’ve met the challenges and flourished where others have failed.”

During the past 12 months, the award-winning team has produced films and animation for use as training resources; used theatre as a powerful and innovative learning tool; delivered exciting and memorable staff conferences; used group discussion, role-play, team exercises, games, quizzes and outdoor activities to aid training.
