Nathan Brown: ‘We have to do better!’

HUDDERSFIELD Giants bounced back to form after last weeks’ home horror show against Castleford Tigers with a powerful 34-10 Super League XIV success at Salford City Reds.
However, Giants head coach Nathan Brown believes his team is still struggling to produce their best form.
Despite securing a highly convincing win at the Willows, scoring six tries to two, Brown was still far from impressed by his team and he made it clear he would be expecting far more from his players in next Sunday’s home outing against Wakefield Trinity Wildcats.
“We came here to get the win, and we did just that,” said Brown.
“But we were still far from being at our best, and there are certain issues that we need to address.
“We did do some really solid work and that’s a platform to work from, but I will looking for more from us in the weeks ahead.”
Brown went on to explain the late withdrawal of Kiwi centre Paul Whatuira, who had been suffering from migraine attacks.
“He’s having some tests to see if we can’t resolve the problem, but we will just have to keep tabs on how he is going,” said Brown.
