It was an act which produced a red card for the Giants stand-off and an unsavoury response from a Hull KR supporter.

But his side came up with the perfect response as McNamara, Roberts and Wittenberg worked their line.

It was then left for Thorman to launch the perfect pass to former Hull KR centre Graeme Hallas who dummied through the defence to score in the corner.

Former Hull favourite McNamara landed the goal and the Giants' day was complete!
