Hunslet 0 - 40 Giants. THE Giants to suffer any Buddies Cup final hangover at Hunslet? - not on your life!
Even with a relatively makeshift side, Huddersfield swept away plucky Hunslet with the minimum of fuss.
Out of last night's side were seven frontline Giants stars.
Yet their replacements all proved worthy of the shirt as the unbeaten NFP leaders rattled up a 13th League win of the campaign.
All seven contributed to the cause, but two in particular shone out like a beacon.
Talented teenage back-rower Jon Grayshon was the heart and soul of the pack, with a non-stop 80-minute debut display during which he bagged a try and earned coach Tony Smith's man-of-the-match award.
But Grayshon's efforts were upstaged in the final seven minutes by winger Chris Langley who grabbed a remarkable hat trick of tries to repeat the efforts of teammate Chris Thorman in the Buddies Cup semi-final at Doncaster two weeks ago.
Thorman's hat trick was different in that it was achieved in the opening seven minutes.
Yet both trebles were down to excellent teamwork and support play, with the happy scorer profiting from the exceptional approach play of his colleagues.
Langley struck in the 73rd, 76th and 80th minute to complete a magical haul and produce a final scoreline which was somewhat flattering to the visitors.
