Turley failed to convert, but at 10-6 the pressure was on.

Two Turley penalty attempts were also then off target before the Giants appeared to have regained the lead with a try from Ben Cooper.

McNamara's high kick to the corner was patted back by O'Hare, Eorl Crabtree collected and feed Cooper to cross.

But on the video replay the effort was ruled out as Heath Cruckshank was adjudged to have impeded Bobbie Goulding.

Yet the video referee had no hesitation in awarding a try to Marcus St Hilaire five minutes before the break when he collected Stanley Gene's perfectly-weighted kick to the corner.

McNamara added an equally-impressive conversion and at the break the Giants held a 14-10 advantage - despite his side having not played well and Leigh clearly playing out of their skins.

That was not the case after the break, however.

In the second half it was all about the Giants.
