Giants 22 - 30 Broncos. Sad Giants' worst display
The opening signs were, however, promising as the Giants took the lead after five minutes.
After London had been forced to drop-out, Huddersfield worked the position to the left and the ball was kept alive superbly for Paul March to race in under the posts.
Steve McNamara added the conversion, and everything looked promising.
The optimism was to prove shortlived.
Within seven minutes the visitors had drawn level as Jim Dymock's high kick to the corner left Hefin O'Hare exposed and Andrew King leapt high to score an easy try, converted by Tony Martin.
It was the start of a painful remainder of the half.
Midway through the period, London deservedly took a lead they were never to lose, albeit after referee Smith had missed Dennis Moran's forward pass which sent on-loan Leeds winger Austin Buchanan hurtling in at the corner.
It got worse in the 29th minute when McNamara was cruelly adjudged to have knocked-on and from London's next set resulting from the scrum Martin powered in at the corner.
Then in the 34th minute Moran's high kick to the corner on the sixth tackle enabled King to outjump O'Hare for a second time and cross out wide.
