It’s one of the best! – Sharp
HUDDERSFIELD Giants are back in Super League’s top six after producing one of their best performances during Jon Sharp’s reign.
And the Giants chief is convinced that after yesterday’s thrilling 26-22 triumph over Bradford Bulls his side is now ready to reach the play-offs for the first time.
“This has to be one of the best wins we have had in the four years I have been here,” said Sharp, who had prop Keith Mason sent off during a highly-charged contest.
“We had to overcome so much adversity to win this game, and I am again proud and full of admiration for all my players over the way they battled through to win.
“I believe we’ve been in pretty good nick for some time, and I’m really happy with what we are doing for this stage of the year.
“It would be fantastic to take this sort of form into the play-offs.”
Sharp lost Shane Elford (hamstring) and Stephen Wild (elbow) during the game, but the key duo should be back for the trip to Warrington on Sunday week.
