Let’s make it eight!

HUDDERSFIELD Giants have today launched a final plea to fans to create a fantastic atmosphere at the Galpharm on Sunday against Wakefield (4.00) and break through the 8,000 attendance mark.

The campaign called ‘Eight through the Gate’ calls for Huddersfield’s community to come down and support the club in the crucial derby clash in the Giants’ final home game of the regular season.

Victory would keep the Giants on track to reach the Super League play-offs for the first time.

Lending his considerable weight to the call for action, Giants No8 Eorl Crabtree, pictured, said: “Our support has been fantastic this season and for our average crowd to be over 7,000 is brilliant.

“But we are wanting to go one better for the game on Sunday and reach the 8,000 mark as your support really does make a real difference.”

Tickets for the clash are still on sale at the Galpharm Stadium ticket office until 5pm today and between 9am and noon tomorrow.

Children under 12 gain free admission and by pre-purchasing tickets ahead of matchday, adult and concession tickets are £2 cheaper. The Ticket Hotline is 0870 4444552.

Wildcats: Demetriou, Atkins, Rooney, Jeffries, Watene, Obst, Sculthorpe, Catic, MacGillivray, Ferres, March P, March D, Bibey, Henderson, Blaymire, Fox, Golden, White, Gleeson, Greseque.
