I’M delighted with this victory, particularly as Hull made us work so hard for it.

I felt we came up against a Hull side who produced their best form of the year.

I thought they were tremendous in their win against Wigan last week, and I think they were even better against us.

We needed to bring our ‘A’ game to the Galpharm to guarantee victory, and that’s exactly what we did.

It was a really tough opening 20 minutes or so, when they really challenged us and were very aggressive.

But I can see how we were beginning to dominate possession and field position after half an hour and were beginning to win the energy battle.

That was borne out just before half-time when we scored that crucial try to move back in front. That proved a turning point.

From then on, I thought we were in total control and thoroughly deserved the two points.
