Giants in fans bonus!

BUOYANT Huddersfield Giants are already confident of keeping up a positive Super League XIII trend at home to Wigan on Sunday week.

In their opening three home top-flight games of the season, the Giants have recorded their highest crowds against the respective clubs.

There was a 53% increase on the previous best home attendance against Leeds, a 29% rise against Castleford and 11% increase against Hull.

And the record 7,170 mark set against Wigan at the Galpharm last season will fall next weekend.

“This is a super milestone to be able to announce,” said Giants managing director Richard Thewlis, whose club has averaged 10,275 for three games.

“There’s an extremely positive buzz around the place, and the crowds we’re now getting are a credit to everyone at the club and our tremendous fans.

“We can’t wait for the Wigan game and, hopefully, that will be on the back of another excellent performance at Harlequins on Saturday.”
