Jon Sharp: Giants out enthused by Harlequins

WE were totally out-enthused by a team who worked really hard for one another.

If you don’t go to the Stoop with enthusiasm then you are going to struggle and that’s what happened to us.

Quins’ kicking game was much better than ours. They chased harder, ran tougher and worked harder for one another.

We can’t legislate for the bounce of the ball, but I can legislate for my players being in the right positions to take advantage when it goes our way and they didn’t do that.

On far too many occasions we were guilty of over-playing. We needed to be far more patient, which is something I had spoken about all week.

I’m extremely disappointed with that performance and we’ve got to improve. I’m keen to sort it out as quickly as possible.
