FIT-AGAIN Giants star Chris Thorman is hoping Easter Monday’s victory over St Helens is a taste of things to come.
The Galpharm skipper was at the heart of Huddersfield’s 28-26 Super League triumph as he made a successful return following a rib injury.
As well as landing the touchline conversion in the second half which ultimately won the game for his side, he played a part in several of his side’s tries.
And he is hoping the Giants can now build on their third win of the season with another success at Hull KR on Sunday (3.00).
"That win over St Helens once again showed what we are capable of achieving," said Thorman.
"In the first half we showed a lot of character to come back from 14-0 down and then produced some great attacking plays to win the contest.
"That was down to the way we stuck to the gameplan, and it just shows what we can do if we sing from the same hymn sheet.
"And it’s this sort of approach that will bring us success against Hull KR this weekend.
"It’s yet another big test for us. I predicted at the start of the season that Rovers would be one of the teams to watch on the back of the signings they’ve made.
"But after the excellent win over Saints we don’t want to take another step back.
"We want to make sure we do everything we can to build on Monday’s performance. That has to be the aim."
