Curtain-raiser

GIANTS fans will have the chance to watch the stars of the future at the Galpharm Stadium ahead of Sunday’s Super League clash against Hull KR.

The Kirklees Service Area Under 15s side are taking on their North Yorkshire counterparts in a stadium curtain-raiser at 12.50pm.

Current Huddersfield Super League stars Tom Hemingway and Leroy Cudjoe are just two examples of the talent that comes from Service Area rugby and it can be the start of a youngsters’ path up into Super League.

Supporters with a ticket for the main game can gain access into the Stadium through turnstiles 1-4 of the Direct Golf Stand open from 12.45pm.

Meanwhile, the Giants will look to remain in the leading Reserve Team Championship pack when they entertain Hull KR at Moldgreen’s DRAM Centre tomorrow (2.00).

Victory would make it six wins and a draw from their 10 games.

Also in action tomorrow are the Academy, who opened their account a week ago with a big 54-14 triumph over Harlequins.

They are at Bradford Bulls (1.30).
