I’M very happy with the result and the performance for the first 60 minutes.

Huddersfield had a very good balance to their side and I thought they might cause us some problems, particularly with so many of our guys backing up from the England Test match in France on Friday night.

But we handled everything superbly and it really couldn’t have gone much better.

I suppose the last 20 minutes were a bit disappointing. That’s when the fatigue set in.

But I think we also have to give the opposition some credit for the way they kept on going.

They showed how much spirit they have in their ranks when Paul Whatuira tracked back in the last minute to deny Ade Gardner what seem a certain try.

And what can you say about Maurie Fa’asavalu, other than the man’s a beast!

He came off the bench and was superb. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an impact player quite like him.
