Hodgson targets career milestone

FIT-AGAIN Giants winger David Hodgson is hoping to inspire a victory at Castleford tomorrow (3.30) by scoring his 100th career try.

The 26-year-old Great Britain international moved to 99 with his double in the 34-4 Super League win at Wigan eight days ago.

Those were his first for the Giants, with a serious knee injury meaning he is only now starting to make a positive impact with his new club.

That Wigan run-out was just his third game for Huddersfield following his move from Salford at the end of last season.

And he is confident he will soon be celebrating a century of tries on the back of his double against the Warriors.

“That Wigan performance has done a lot for my confidence,” admitted Hodgson.

“I still feel as if I’m finding my feet in this side, and obviously scoring the two tries last Friday has done me the power of good.
