Departing Giant Jensen: Future is bright

ROD JENSEN will jet off back to Australia later today knowing he is leaving a Huddersfield Giants club facing a bright Super League future.
The 29-year-old former North Queensland Cowboy signed off for the Giants at Headingley on Wednesday night by leading them to glory in the inaugural Carnegie Floodlit Nines.
The popular utility back was given the honour of stepping up to receive the trophy from the Rugby Football League president and Batley Bulldogs chairman Kevin Nicholas after their 20-4 final triumph over Hull at Headingley.
It was a fitting way for Jensen to end his 18-month spell at the Galpharm, with the popular player confident this latest Giants success could be a taste of things to come.
“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time at Huddersfield, so to finish off with something like this is fantastic,” he said.
