Departing Giant Jensen: Future is bright

“It’s obviously been a very frustrating season all-round, with the coaching fall-out along the way.

“Fortunately, my last memory of my time here is an incredibly positive one, and one that bodes well for the future.

“Although we came to the Nines with a very experienced side, we also came with a side that boasted some very talented young players.

“Leroy Cudjoe, for instance, was amazing and thoroughly deserved to be the player of the tournament.

“I’ve heard it stated in the media a number of times that the likes of Leroy, Michael Lawrence and Jermaine McGillvary are the future of this club, and will help the Giants go from strength to strength. After Wednesday night, it’s hard to argue against that.

“As far as I’m concerned, the Giants now have everything in place on all fronts to progress, and it seems certain they will be backed by even more fans next season.

“The club already have an excellent group of supporters, and I can’t thank them enough for the way they have got behind during my time here – to be honest, I found it a pretty humbling experience – and I would love to think they will have even more to cheer over the next few years.

“I’m sure that will be the case.”
