“But, at the same time, I’m really looking forward to the challenge of playing for Cas. After five years at the Giants, I suppose I’m ready for a fresh challenge.

“And if my time there can be anywhere near as good as it’s been at Huddersfield, I’ll be absolutely delighted.

“By playing for the Giants, I’ve been involved in a Challenge Cup final and a Super League play-off.

“I’ve also been part of some fantastic wins, such as the Challenge Cup semi-final against Leeds and the victory at Wigan the other week.

“It was just so brilliant to finish everything off by captaining the team in this win at Warrington in my last game.

“It was the perfect end. I’ve got so many good memories of my time here, and this was the icing on the cake.

“And I really can’t thank the fans enough for helping make my time here so extra special.”
