Giant Leroy to the rescue

IN-FORM Leroy Cudjoe returned to the scene of his heroics in the Carnegie Nines to send the Giants into the semi-final play-offs.
Less than two weeks ago, the 20-year-old utility back scooped the player of the tournament at the inaugural Carnegie Nines at Headingley as Huddersfield swept all before them.
And he followed that up by grabbing a late try to seal a thrilling 26-22 Reserve Team Championship play-off triumph at Leeds Rhinos.
That sets up a semi-final date (which has yet to be confirmed) at Harlequins, who destroyed Warrington Wolves 44-12 at the weekend.
It promises to be another tough assignment for coach Andy Proctor and his men.
