Giants trio named in England squad

THREE Huddersfield Giants stars have been named in England coach Tony Smith’s initial train-on squad for the World Cup.
Prop Darrell Griffin and wingers Martin Aspinwall and David Hodgson have earned the calls, despite the Giants finishing 10th in Super League this season.
The Giants players are among 13 named by former Huddersfield chief Smith.
They will take part in regular squad sessions under the England boss, who will make further additions as clubs are eliminated from the Super League play-offs.
