Giant Jacko to live World Cup dream

GIANTS prop Paul Jackson has today been confirmed in Scotland’s final World Cup squad – and is already looking to celebrate a dream trip to Australia by securing a new Huddersfield deal for 2010!

The Scots’ final 25-man squad will not be officially released until next week, with the nation’s first World Cup clash against France taking place in Canberra on October 26.

But Jackson has already been told he’s got the nod and can now finalise his own personal plans for his first trip Down Under.

And with new Giants coach Nathan Brown ready to pay close attention to the tournament, Jackson has a double incentive for wanting to play well.

“I don’t think it’s quite sunk in yet that I’ll be going to Australia,” said the 30-year-old.

“In fact, I think it won’t be until I step on the plane that I’ll fully appreciate what’s happening.

“I’ve never been to Australia, and it’s something of a dream.
