We won’t rush into signings says Giants chief Brown

“Not having Todd joining us is disappointing, but it’s not the end of the world and, as a squad, we’ve moved on.

“And I certainly don’t feel the need to rush in and find a replacement just for the sake of it.

“Clearly, there is some money now available and we have been approached by several players’ managers as soon as the news about Todd came through, but my main focus right now is preparing for the season.

“The next step towards that is Sunday’s warm-up game at Castleford Tigers.

“I hope to learn a lot more about my players and it should give us more of an indication of how things at the club are progressing.”

Before the trip to The Jungle, a junior Giants side will be in action at Oldham on Friday (7.45).
