Giants' Slicker says it's good to be back

GOOD TO BE BACK!
“In fact, I still come regularly to games, and my company does some sponsorship with the club.
“But getting more directly involved here has always been my main aim, and I’m delighted this opportunity has come along.
“Fortunately, I do have experience on the Scholarship through my time at the Bulls, and I have also been helping out on the coaching front at my local amateur club, Waterhead.
“However, being back at the Giants is where I feel I really belong, and I hope I can do my bit to help the club continue to go forward.
“It’s clear it’s moved on tremendously since I left three years ago, which I find very exciting.
“I’ll be taking my first session tonight, and I believe my primary objective will be to instil a more professional attitude among the kids who are part of out Scholarship Scheme.
“To be honest, I can’t wait to get started.
“As I said, this club is very close to my heart.
“I loved playing here, and I’ve got some very special memories, such as being in the side that won the NFP Grand Final and playing in a Challenge Cup semi-final in 2004.
“I just hope there are even better things ahead for us!”
