“And that’s particularly the case here because we’ve got no shortage quality hookers.

“So every time you play, you always have to make sure you do the best you can and do the little things the gaffer tells you to do.

“If not you’ll know about it!”

Although Lunt was far from being 100% happy with his performance, he was quick to point out the role Rochdale played in making sure it was a competitive encounter.

“All credit to Rochdale,” he admitted. “A lot of people thought we’d put 50 or 60 past them.

“But they didn’t make it easy at all for us, and there’s no doubt they did themselves proud.”
