Nathan Brown in Giants’ cup tie warning

GIANTS coach Nathan Brown has warned his players to forget about the Challenge Cup or suffer the consequences.
Huddersfield are now just two games away from an appearance in a showpiece Wembley final in rugby league’s most famous knockout competition and host fellow Super League side Castleford Tigers in the quarter-final on Sunday, May 31 (live on BBC TV, time to be confirmed).
Before then, the Giants have two Super League fixtures – at home to Salford on Sunday and then at Wakefield the following week.
And with Huddersfield having worked so hard at the start of the season to be fourth on the top-flight ladder, Brown doesn’t want to see his side lose ground by focusing too much on the exciting Cup clash in three weeks.
“Obviously all the talk over the weekend was about the Challenge Cup,” said Brown.
“We had the win over Rochdale and were then lucky enough to be handed a home draw, albeit a tough one against Castleford.
“But as important and exciting as the Challenge Cup is, we’ve got to forget all about it for the next couple of weeks.
