"If that’s the case and we put in a good performance, then I’m confident everything else will take care of itself."
The Giants will certainly start Sunday’s game as favourites.
While Huddersfield are fourth in the Super League ladder on 16 points, coach Shaun McRae’s City Reds have just three League wins to their name.
But their last success was a stunning 30-20 triumph at Super League champions Leeds Rhinos on Easter Monday, while a couple of weeks before they won at Hull FC in the Challenge Cup.
As a result, Brown knows his side can take nothing for granted.
"Salford have got some forwards who can promote and carry the ball strongly," he added.
"And they’ve got the young half-back Myler who’s been doing some great things and we can’t afford to let him play, which he clearly can. It’s pretty clear it’s taken Salford a while to adjust to Super League after their time in National League I, but they seem to have adjusted now.
"In the past couple of months they’ve beaten Leeds and Warrington in the League and knocked Hull out of the Cup, so they’ll present us with a tough challenge.
"We’ve got to be ready for them."
