Giants coach Brown: We need to act now to stop the rot

GIANTS coach Nathan Brown has slammed his team for another error-strewn display, and admitted there’s still a lot of work to do to get back to their outstanding early-season form.

Huddersfield produced their most disappointing performance of the Super League XIV campaign as they slumped to a 24-4 home defeat to second-bottom Salford.

Brown’s men slipped down one place to fifth in the League ladder on the back of a fifth defeat of the year.

But the Australian fears the slide could continue if his side don’t get out of their current slump as quickly as possible.

“After the win over Celtic Crusaders the other week, I thought we might be able to start building up our game again,” he said.

“But this performance against Salford shows what I know!

“Unfortunately, what we saw was something we’ve seen for a while now, and we’ve got to do something about it sooner rather than later. We made 17 errors in this game, made another 17 or 18 errors the week before and then another 17 or 18 the week before that.

“That’s obviously just not good enough.

“At the moment, I think you could probably say that the League table tells lies when you see where we are on it.
