Giants coach Brown: We need to act now to stop the rot

“Right now, we look a lot better on it than we actually are, so maybe that’s something some players need to take a look at.
“All teams have lean periods but the successful teams have shorter lean spells.
“We’ve got to make sure we all concentrate, work hard and hope that ours comes to an end sooner rather than later and we can get back to where we were a couple of months ago.”
A lack of leadership appeared a big problem for the Giants, with captain Brett Hodgson sidelined with a quad-muscle injury.
But Brown refused to use that as an excuse.
“Brett has a stabilising influence and is a good leader,” said Brown.
“But we should be able to overcome his absence and not have to depend on him so much.”
