Giants ace Danny Kirmond delighted at four-year deal

DANNY KIRMOND has signed a new four-year Super League deal which will keep him at the Giants until the end of the 2013 season.

The 23-year-old arrived at the Galpharm at the start of last season after making a name for himself as a winger at National League club Featherstone Rovers.

But he has made a successful switch to the second row and has rapidly established himself as a regular in the Giants’ Super League side.

And the club have acted quickly to keep hold of one of their rising stars.

“I’m absolutely delighted about this, and because it’s a four-year deal it gives me a great deal of security,” said Kirmond. “The onus is now on me to kick on and improve, because I’m already hoping to stay even longer!

“I love it here and the only thing on my mind is doing the best I can for the Giants in the next four years.

“Nathan Brown and the players that have come in have added a lot to us as a team. We are constantly improving and this really is a club on the up.

“Who knows where we will be in four years, but this is a very exciting period for the club.”
