Giants must grasp revival chance

If someone had said before the campaign got under way that the Giants would be fifth on the ladder at the halfway stage and were about to play their Challenge Cup quarter-final tie, very few in the claret and gold corner would have cause for complaint.

But after climbing to second with victory at Hull KR on Easter Monday, the last month has been a huge disappointment.

And Brown knows his side must do something about it – and quick!

“During the course of a season, you know your form is going to dip at some point,” admitted Brown.

“The key is how quickly you come out of it, and it obviously takes the good teams less time to sort it out.

“Hopefully, we’ll prove we’re a good team this weekend by starting to re-discover the form we showed at the start of the year .

“The next couple of weeks could really determine just how successful our season is, so tomorrow’s game is a very important one.”

Second-rower Lee Mossop is in line to make his debut against the Wildcats following his loan move from Wigan.

And fit-again duo Andy Raleigh (knee) and Darrell Griffin (leg) are confirmed in the squad after recovering from injury

Missing for the Wildcats for a second week is former Giants favourite Brad Drew, who is continuing to be ruled out with a knee injury.

He also missed both games against the Giants last season due to injury.
