“That result really hurt, and I know how much we were all looking forward to getting back out there and making sure we got last week’s defeat straight out of our system.

“So, obviously, it really couldn’t have gone any better. It was a great feeling to be a part of the team that did this!”

Cudjoe admitted getting the win was the No1 priority, but he was also delighted with his own performance.

As well as scoring his first try of the season, he set up another with a great cut-out pass for David Hodgson’s first score and was rock-solid, both in attack and defence, from start to finish.

“I always knew it was going to be tough last week filling in for Brett, because he’s such a fantastic player,” added Cudjoe.

“And it was also the first time I’d played the full-back role Nathan (Brown) wanted me to play at Super League level.

“Like Brett, he wants me to play a full-back and half-back role, and it’s taking some adjusting to. But I’d like to think yesterday has helped!”
