Ken Davy: ‘We will be Giants’

GIANTS chairman Ken Davy is urging the fans to come out in force to inspire the club to Challenge Cup quarter-final glory and portray Huddersfield in a positive light on the national stage.
Sunday’s big last-eight clash against fellow Super League side Castleford Tigers (3.30) is the first time since the move to the Galpharm Stadium that a Giants home game has been screened live by the BBC.
That provides the Giants with an ideal opportunity to raise their profile as positively as possible throughout the nation, and Davy knows that a screen full of claret and gold will do wonders for his club’s reputation – with victory being the icing on the cake.
“The home support in any match is always vital, but in a sudden death Challenge Cup game it is absolutely critical,” he said.
“The fans can play their part by showing their support for the team by out-shouting the opposition, because I believe it can make a big difference for us.
“I am urging everyone who enjoys exciting and exhilarating rugby league to come down on Sunday and support the Giants.
