"It’s a goal of ours to progress and everyone in the squad knows how important it is.

"Being there and playing in a final was a great experience for me, but we lost that day.

"it would be great to go one step further this year, although we’ll concentrate on Cas first."

Lolesi is also no stranger to showpiece occasions, having being part of the Canterbury Bulldogs NRL Premiership success in 2004.

And he’s excited about the prospect of reaching the last four.

"It would be a great occasion if we managed to progress," he said. "I’ve spoken to Kev about the experience and obviously from watching it on the television for a number of years, it looks like the kind of atmosphere I’d love to be involved in.

"We need to do our best this Sunday to give us the best possible chance of getting there, and for me to start working towards my next 100 points!"
