Brett Hodgson's Challenge Cup bonus

INSPIRATIONAL skipper Brett Hodgson will lead the Giants into Challenge Cup battle against Castleford Tigers at the Galpharm tomorrow.

The 31-year-old has passed a fitness test on the quad-muscle injury that has sidelined him for the past two Super League games and takes his place in a full-strength side as the Giants look to reach the semi-finals for the third time in five years.

He comes in to replace stand-in goalkicking full-back Leroy Cudjoe, who deputised superbly during Sunday’s superb 54-6 triumph at Wakefield Trinity Wildcats. And the vastly-experienced Australian admits his return can’t come soon enough.

"I’m absolutely delighted I won’t be missing this one," said Hodgson, who has tasted Grand Final glory in the Australian NRL.
