Homegrown Huddersfield players will lead Giants charge

NATHAN BROWN is backing Huddersfield’s home-grown boys to lead the Giants to more Super League success against second-placed Hull KR at the Galpharm tonight (8.00).
With injuries to established senior players Brett Hodgson (knee) and Jamahl Lolesi (head), former Newsome Panthers juniors Leroy Cudjoe and Michael Lawrence are poised to take over.
Giants chief Brown is 100% confident the youngsters will rise to the challenge and help fourth-placed Huddersfield secure a 10th top-flight triumph of the season.
And he also expects fellow Huddersfield products Eorl Crabtree and Andy Raleigh to play starring roles on the back of Crabtree’s England call and Raleigh’s highly-successful return to action after a six-week absence following a knee injury.
"Tonight will be a big test for everyone, but I believe we’re ready," said Brown.
"Hull KR will be desperate to get back to winning ways after the agony of losing to Warrington by the golden point in the Cup last Saturday, and we have to be ready for that.
"And even though we’ll be without Brett and Jammer I’m confident we can come up with the right performance.
"Leroy and Michael may not have the experience of those two, but we all know they have the ability to rise to the challenge and do a good job for us.
