Although the fifth-placed Giants go into Friday’s clash on the back of a defeat, Sculthorpe is confident his new team can bounce straight back.

"We reviewed the Leeds game on Monday, and then focused on turning the negatives into positives," he added.

"We know Castleford will be tough, so we want to turn up. And we know we have to, not just to get back to winning ways but so we can keep hold of our spots.

"There’s a lot of competition for places here and you know that if you’re not playing to your best you might not be in the side the following week."
