Brett Hodgson column: Time to bounce back

I  MENTIONED last week how much I was looking forward to my first visit to Headingley, because I’d been told how good the atmosphere was.

And I have to admit I wasn’t disappointed.

I absolutely love all the singing and chanting from the fans – as I’m sure everyone knows – and it really was extra special last weekend.

The noise from the Leeds fans in the South Stand was something else, but what really crowned the experience for me were our fans.

They were there in good numbers and the way they got behind us was fantastic.

When we eventually return to Australia, last Sunday’s memory is one I’m sure I’ll never forget.

The only downside, of course, was the fact we didn’t win the game, but the brilliant backing we got from the fans certainly helped ease some of the pain.
