Giants ace Luke hails success of Super League salary cap

“When you come up to Super League it does take time to adjust, but it doesn’t take too long and they are certainly a dangerous team.
“They have picked up some impressive wins, but Super League this time round is getting much closer and there is every chance that bottom can beat top.
“Now the salary cap has been in place for a few years, what the game needed is coming to fruition and that can only be good for the younger homegrown players coming through.
“While Leeds and St Helens are still the major forces, it is becoming a much closer competition, and that is great for the players and for the fans who turn up every week.”
But after suffering such a bitterly disappointing home defeat to the Tigers last Friday, Robinson is desperate to avoid another night of frustration.
“In a lot of ways we really just didn’t turn up on the day,” he admitted.
“When we did have chances we failed to execute them, but we were pretty flat from the kick-off and once we went behind them we were left chasing the game.
“We were perhaps a little bit soft and it is difficult to change gear at times, it’s not just a flick of a switch.
“But we know we have to start cutting out the errors which we haven’t been doing in recent games. That has to start tomorrow night.”
