Kevin Brown ready to make up for Challenge Cup disappointment

“It’s massive playing in the Challenge Cup semi-final,” said Brown. “They are obviously games you want to play in and games you train hard for in the pre-season.
“To be in the semi-final of the cup or the league is a massive occasion for the fans, for your family and for the players themselves, so I can’t wait!
“I’ve never won anything yet and losing in the 2004 cup final against Saints when I was at Wigan was probably the toughest point of my career.
“We went into the game 100% confident we were going to win and, unfortunately, we got beaten.
“Hopefully we can go one step further this year at the Giants and, if we are able to do a job on Saints in the semi-final, you never know, we might play my old team in the final, which would be a dream for me.
“We know we’re going to have to be at our best to beat them, no-one will give us a chance, no-one will say we’re going to win, everyone will back Saints and we’ll be massive underdogs.
“For me, we’ve got nothing to lose. We know we can beat them – we’ve beaten them before – and I’m sure we’ll give it a good shout.”
