Giants’ Darrell Griffin ready to prove a point

BIG Darrell Griffin is desperate to put a season of Giants frustration behind him and finish the Super League XIV campaign with a bang.
The 28-year-old prop heads into Sunday’s home clash against former club Wakefield having finally re-discovered the form that brought him an England call at the end of last season.
At the same time, however, Giants chief Nathan Brown has confirmed back-row forward Andy Raleigh has already been ruled out of the clash with an Achilles injury and could remain on the sidelines for up to a month.
By his own admission, Griffin has struggled to adapt to the change of role he has been given by new head coach Brown.
But the former Trinity pack star is now feeling more comfortable under the new system and is determined to build on his return to form as the Giants look to cement their Super League play-off spot and bid for Challenge Cup semi-final glory against St Helens on August 9.
“After playing for England at the end of last season, I came into the year with a lot of confidence,” said Griffin.
